Second Season, the Assistance League of Sacramento Thrift Shop, funds the majority of our philanthropic programs.
Assistance League of Sacramento, a chapter of National Assistance League®, is an all-volunteer, community service organization, founded in 1966. It is nonprofit, nonpolitical and nonsectarian. Assistance League of Sacramento is a tax exempt, charitable corporation whose volunteer members administer programs and perform specific services that benefit the greater Sacramento area.
From a modest beginning in 1966, over 250,000 lives in the greater Sacramento area have been directly touched by this dynamic group of women. The impact on lives is even more profound when you consider the ripple effect to the families and friends of these recipients. Each year the number of lives touched grows as the current seven programs of the chapter are constantly modified to better address community needs. Annually, members volunteer over 30,000 hours of their time in support of the chapter programs.
